In addition, users can prevent the data related to their use of the website (including IP address) being recorded by the cookie, sent to Google as service provider and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

2. Automatic data recording

For technical reasons, the user data communicated by the user's Internet browser to Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna Hofburg and Imperial Furniture Collection and recorded includes the following:

This data is stored separately from any user data communicated (in particular name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, language – for details see Section 3) and is analysed for statistical purposes to help us optimise the Internet presence and what is offered on schoenbrunn.at, hofburg-wien.at and hofmobiliedepot.at  (see also Section 5 of this data protection declaration).

4. Cookies

Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna Hofburg and Imperial Furniture Collection use cookies for the purpose of the provision of its services. Cookies are small text files deposited and stored on your computer's Internet browser. This allows Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna Hofburg and Imperial Furniture Collection to recognise multiple use of their web material by the same user. You can prevent the installation of cookies by means of a corresponding setting in your browser software; Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna Hofburg and Imperial Furniture Collection would like to point out, however, that this might prevent you from using all the functions of this website to the full extent.

5. Analysis of the Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna Hofburg and Imperial Furniture Collection Internet sites

In order to improve and optimise its web presence, Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna Hofburg and Imperial Furniture Collection use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses what are known as "cookies", text files stored on your computer that permit an analysis of your use of the website. As a rule, the information about your use of this website (including your IP address) generated by the cookie is transferred to a Google Inc. server in the USA and stored there. Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna Hofburg and Imperial Furniture Collection have activated "_anonymizeIp()" for their websites; this function means that IP addresses are processed in shortened form in order to exclude a direct personal reference: by anonymizing the IP on these websites, the IP address of a Google user within the member states of the European Union or another signatory state to the Treaty on the European Economic Area is first shortened. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address communicated to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google will as service provider for Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna Hofburg and Imperial Furniture Collection use the information collected through the use of Google Analytics on the Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna Hofburg and Imperial Furniture Collection websites in order to analyse the use of the websites, to compile reports about website activities and to provide additional services to Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna Hofburg and Imperial Furniture Collection connected with the use of the websites and the Internet. The IP address communicated by the user's browser within Google Analytics is not linked to other Google data. By using the Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna Hofburg and Imperial Furniture Collection sites, the user confirms his or consent to Google's processing of the data collected about you in the manner described and for the purposes stated. Users can prevent the installation of cookies by means of a corresponding setting in their browser software; however, we would like to point out that this might prevent them from using all the functions of this website to the full extent. In addition, users can prevent the data related to their use of the website (including IP address) being recorded by the cookie, sent to Google as service provider and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

6. Social Plug-ins

6.1 What social plug-ins are used?

In their Internet presence, Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna Hofburg and Imperial Furniture Collection make use of the following social networks' social plug-ins (e.g. "share", "like" buttons):

  • facebook.com, operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (hereinafter "Facebook"),
  • twitter.com, operated by Twitter, Inc, 795 Folsom St., Suite 600,San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (hereinafter "Twitter"),

These plug-ins are each identified with the corresponding social network's logo.

6.2 Data transfer by social plug-ins

If a user registered and currently logged into a social network accesses a Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna Hofburg or Imperial Furniture Collection Internet website that contains such a plug-in, the user's browser uses cookies placed by the social network and the plug-in on the schoenbrunn.at site, hofburg-vienna.at site or hofmobilien.at site to create a direct link to the social network's servers. Social networks may also use the plug-in to recognise that a logged user is at schoenbrunn.at site, hofburg-vienna.at site or hofmobilien.at without the plug-in being clicked.

By integrating the plug-in, the operator of the social network obtains the information that the user has accessed the corresponding Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna Hofburg or Imperial Furniture Collection Internet site. If the user interacts with social plug-ins, the corresponding information is communicated directly from his browser to the operator of the social network and stored there.

6.3 "A second click to share the page"

In order to draw the express attention of the Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna Hofburg and Imperial Furniture Collection Internet site user to this data transfer, it is necessary to click a social plug-in a second time on the schoenbrunn.at site, hofburg-vienna.at site or hofmobilien.at site and only then is the sharing of the page activated. Please note the declaration of consent to the use of social plug-ins. We expressly refer in this connection to the data protection notices of Facebook, Google+ and Twitter.

6.4 Notice

If users do not wish social network operators to collect data about them through the Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna Hofburg and Imperial Furniture Collection Internet presence, they must logout of social networks before visiting the Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna Hofburg or Imperial Furniture Collection Internet presence. This requires the user to use the social network's logout function. It is not sufficient simply to close the social network site.

Declaration of consent for the use of www.schoenbrunn.at, www.hofburg-vienna.at and www.hofmobiliendepot.at

I have read the Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna Hofburg and Imperial Furniture Collection data protection declaration and in the light of this declaration issue the following consent:

1. I consent to my IP address and my log files (data about the use of the schoenbrunn.at site, hofburg-vienna.at site or hofmobilien.at site) being used for a statistical analysis of the Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna Hofburg and Imperial Furniture Collection Internet presence. For this purpose, Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna Hofburg and Imperial Furniture Collection make use of Google Analytics, which means that IP addresses and log files of my visit to the schoenbrunn.at site, hofburg-vienna.at site and hofmobilien.at site are communicated to Google Inc. as service provider for the purpose of analysing the use of the schoenbrunn.at site, hofburg-vienna.at site and hofmobilien.at site. The extension "_anonymizeIp()" means that my IP address is anonymized and is consequently no longer directly person-related. I note that I have the possibility of preventing the storage of cookies by means of a corresponding setting of my browser software, which may lead to me not being able to use all the functions of the website to the full extent. In addition, I note that I can deactivate Google Analytics by installing a browser add-on (available at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de) and hence can revoke my consent to the use of Google Analytics.

2. I consent to my IP address and my log files (data about the use of the schoenbrunn.at site, hofburg-vienna.at site and hofmobilien.at site) being communicated to the operators of the corresponding social networks when use is made of Facebook or Twitter social plug-ins. I note that operators of social networks use social plug-ins via the schoenbrunn.at, hofburg-vienna.at or hofmobilien.at Internet presence to collect data about me and that I can prevent this by logging out of the social networks before visiting the Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna Hofburg and Imperial Furniture Collection Internet presence.

I note that I can revoke this declaration of consent in whole or in part at any time by the procedure set out in Sections 1. and 2.
